Assessments are an opportunity for parents and teachers to better understand the specific needs of a child, and can be an excellent first step or precursor to a full neuropsychological evaluation.

These assessments alone are not enough to determine that a person has a learning disability. Diagnosis of a learning disability, such as dyslexia, needs to come from a clinical psychologist, a speech-language pathologist, an educational diagnostician, or another similarly trained professional.

Pauline Novak is qualified and experienced administering a variety of nationally normed assessments including:

GORT Assessment

The Gray Oral Reading Test Fifth Edition (GORT-5) is one of the most widely used measures of oral reading fluency and comprehension in the United States, and is typically administered to individuals 6 – 24 years of age.

CTOPP

The Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing (CTOPP) provides you with a comprehensive measure to determine strengths and weaknesses among developed phonological processes and is typically administered to individuals 4 -24 years of age.
